TRiO CT State Norwalk - is Federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education.

Our program's mission is to promote the retention, graduation and transfer of our students. All services are provided at no cost to the student. TRiO students have access to academic advising, professional tutors, cultural events, free summer classes and assistance with transferring to 4-year institutions.

Students that desire to participate in the program's activities must meet certain requirements established by the Department of Education (Higher Education Act of 1965). By completing this form, we will be able to accurately determine your eligibility and collect statistical data required by law.

Eligible students must meet the following qualifications:

Must be enrolled as a student at the participating institution.
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
First Generation College Student - (neither parent/guardian has earned a bachelor's degree.)
Must meet low-income guidelines as defined by the U.S. Department of Education.

OR

Have a documented disability.

Applications are collected year-round and processed as we have openings in the program.

Eligibility for Trio Program

The TRiO Programs are funded to serve students who meet the eligibility criteria of low-income and /or first- generation potential college student status. In meeting this federal regulation, we ask that you provide the following information to determine your eligibility.
